Meet Norah, she’s honestly the strongest little girl i know. When my mom was a week over due she had a regular check up ultrasound. She is SO lucky that she had that appointment, because they found something wrong. They found that her stomach was laying on her lungs and heart, and they didnt think she was going to make it, they said she wasn’t going to be able to breathe when she came out. That brought ALOT of depression throughout my family from there. My mom had her a children’s hospital.. and when my mom finally received her on April 8th 2010, she was at the hospital in the nicq, it took the doctors 2 days to get all the equipment they needed shipped in and ready for her surgery. She was STARVING for those 2days, and was none stop crying, she couldn’t eat because it would make her stomach heavier on her lungs and heart.. Its so hard seeing your little sister strapped down in a hospital bed in cords, and with oxygen being the only thing keeping her alive. I still remember her crying because she was so hungry, so i would wet her binky with water and she loved me so much because i gave her a few drops of water. I couldn’t look at her without crying, every time i went to visit her, her heart monitor would go off at least 2 times because her heart rate would go down and be so slow, and a swarm of doctors would run over to try to help. Finally after those 2 days she had her surgery and could eat a little, she was in the hospital in recovery for 3 months. For three months my mom stayed at the hospital with her, and everyday after school my dad, sister, brother and i would go to visit her. I got to hold her for the first time when she was 2 months.. And when she came home when she was 3 months old, she was hooked up to a heart monitor to make sure her heart wouldn’t stop in her sleep.. We are SO grateful that it only went off once or twice. Norahs now 1 years old and because of all the x-rays she got when she was born, there was too much radiation in her body.. So she just recently had to get another surgery in Decemeber. Norah Nicole, your the strongest little girl i’ve ever met, i love you forever<3 xoxoxoxox
